I had the pleasure of hearing the Band on CBC Radio today in the car as we were returning from the Remembrance Day Ceremony in New Jerusalem, NB. This is the beautiful area of the province that was taken over to create CFB Gagetown. The concert created an appropriate mood following the Service and driving through the nice rural roads. The Band never sounded better. Great concert!!It made me feel privileged to have been a small part of such a great organization. Best Wishes to you all. Good Job! Miss you all on days like today! Sincerely, Wayne

Am I ever glad I found this site. It is terrific. Why didn't we have the tools to that back in the 50's and 60's? Great to see the 'archive' photos. Has anyone ever kept copies of our Command Performances from CJCH-TV? It would be a shame if those were lost. Stad Band, you still sound great. Proud of you. Bravo Zulu. Vern Murphy

Hello. I heard the "Heart Of Oak Fantacy" on the CBC broadcast and fell in love with it. My husband and I both served in the Canadian Navy. My husband retired after 31 years. I am putting together a movie of his life in the navy and I would love to use the "Heart of Oak Fantacy" as background music. Is that possible? How could I buy it. Is there any way to purchase other music by the Stad Band? It certainly brings back fond memories, such as, a friend of ours, Ron McInespie, who served in the Stadacona Band in 1963 played "Moon River" on our good china cups at our wedding. I would appreciate any information you can give me. Thank you. Diane Oliver gramma@canada.com
